Most practiced RELIGIONS in Africa are: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, some Judaism and traditional African religions.

11 churches of Lalibela were built. They were carved out from the ground, basically dug out!

Ethiopians believe that the Ark of the Covenant (Holy relic of the old testament or the Torah) is in the city of Axum.

The Ark is generally believed by the Christians and Jews to be lost.

Nobody is allowed to see it but a few chosen people.

 

 

TALKING DRUM” can change in pitch to mimic human speech.

Drums are used as a way of communication in west Africa over long distances. It was used to communicate detailed messages between villages, faster than by travel.

 

The BENIN BRONZES are a collection of thousands of bronze plaques created by the Benin civilization.

Beautiful art pieces that represent the empire’s great knowledge of metallurgy and history.
